We started our college life two decades ago on this symmetrical date (08/08/88)….Hmm looks like we are all old now. Twenty long years have passed swiftly, started graying, Kids growing up fast, responsibilities…and much more. But today ( when the grand show of Olympics is starting 08/08/08 ) we also have something special to cheer about. We are all now in different walks of life in different parts of the globe toiling all day and night to make a mark for yourself for our family. At this juncture I thought let me bring all of you some nostalgia and a moment to think of that day when we all assembled in that class as a First year B.Pharm student… Guys sit and go back to that day……Achaean coming with his pot belly and smile, Saul with his long shirt and hair, Verandah in his chatterbox mode, Rajendran the quite sheep, Naves the prospective break dancer ( Phew!), Jegannathan yet to join on the first day but the studious, long man…Rajkumar…the amuser, Unna…the entrepreneur even on that date, The marching Mathew Varghese…Peter the guy with the scooter…, Probe…The dada from USA ( United streets of Arrupukottai), Manoj Babu….the guy with a smile, Cendil..the name says it all , and of course no comments on myself Hoodoo…I am getting nostalgic. So friends all the best to each one of you for completing twenty long years of knowing each other and succeeding in what ever you are doing and of course thanks each one of you for being my friend. Now I am not how did you become a GM for a multi-billion company. However, I can't believe that there was a smile on my face always. Probably, I was drunk. I still remember Unnis comments when we brought the Frutti on the way back to our lodge after a movie. Unni did not eat for next couple of days to make -up the money. Man we did finish 20 years, Shiva do you remember the 10th year in 98, some of us were in coimbatore, I think you just bought your first car that time. Achayan, we all have to meet in Coimbatore in 25th year, guys now we have another 5 years to go, so we can plan for that.
